Saloukee Jewellery

Designer Sarah Kelly graduated from Loughborough with a first class honours degree in 3D design, Silversmithing and Jewellery in 2005. She began her career working 'freelance' in London, Paris and Amsterdam and designed pieces for clients including Angelina Jolie.

In 2008 Sarah set up her company Saloukee, to market and distribute her unique eco-conscious range of jewellery. She quickly impressed investors and entrepreneurs and her debut collection won funding at the innovation competition 'The Next Big Thing'. Sarah is keen to build on her early success and create an environmentally aware design brand, which offers beautiful bespoke pieces for discerning clients.

'Saloukee designs are collections of innovative & unique creations, made in paper. Inspired by the transient nature of trends in historical & contemporary fashion, Saloukee creates pieces of lasting beauty without a lasting ecological impact.

Saloukee's debut collection is directly influenced by a study in to the Victorian corset. Taking the concept of restriction, the pieces exploit interaction with the wearer by using a snakelike motion, only conceivable through touch. The design enables the pieces to expand & contract so that its movement is synchronised with that of the wearer.'
