The Design Trust operates under the banner of Design-Nation to promote the excellence of British design internationally and to provide business support to designers wishing to set up in business. The Design Trust seeks out the best designers working in the UK to become members of Design-Nation and to promote their work and services nationally and internationally.

The Design Trust provides through its educational website www.designnation.co.uk business guidance to designers planning to set up in business. It also acts as a broker. The Design Trust has extensive experience in bridging the gap between designers and manufacturers. Advice can be provided to anyone, whether professional users, manufacturers or those who wish to commission a design, to help identify suitable designers for particular projects.

The Design Trust website contains the Business Start-Up Guide for Designers and a newsletter with information on awards, competitions, training, workshops, jobs and exhibitions. The Business Start-Up Guide, aimed at students and young designers, can be browsed online and downloaded without charge, or you can order a bound copy online, price £5 (inc. UK delivery).
