Creative Skills

Creative Skills provides professional development support for practitioners from creative industries in Cornwall. They offer free information and advice, Training Needs Analysis service, business support, training courses and funding for individual development programmes. Creative Skills can provide part funding to help practitioners working in Cornwall's Creative Industries undertake training and professional development. The Skills Fund can be used to pay for an extremely wide range of activities, not just training days or courses.

In partnership with Tate St Ives we annually offer a number of free mentoring placements for graduates from the University College Falmouth Visual Arts BA and Contemporary Visual Arts MA courses.

The mentors are all established artists who as part of their professional practice are employed by the education department of Tate St Ives. There is an application process for places on the scheme.
