Sam Delbaere was invited to introduce the Beyond project, a national initiative to articulate the value and utility of the humanities, by the Cultural Learning Alliance and What Next? as part of the BBC Get Creative debates at Hay.

Sam spoke about the ‘language problem’ preventing humanities students from accessing existing support and the need to innovate and develop an offer which will help cultural learners make successful transitions from multi-vocational subjects.

Professor Dai Smith, Chair of the Arts Council of Wales and Kevin Jones, Headmaster of St John’s College School Cambridge were also on the panel and gave their views on the value of arts, culture and creativity.
